Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) has launched its sports utility vehicle Mahindra XUV 500 in Indore. Mahindra XUV 500 has been launched in all the major cities of India till now. But, still there are cities where M&M has plans to unveil the vehicle. Among such cities are Patna and Jaipur. The company has plans to launch Mahindra XUV 500 in Patna and Jaipur in coming days. In Indore, the car has been made available at Rs 11.83 lakh which is the ex-showroom price.

Media reports suggest that the production of XUV 500 has touched new high in the country so the company has plans to launch the vehicles in other major cities where the demand of sports utility vehicle is on the rise. Mahindra XUV 500 has been launched in 19 cities so far. Recently, sources said that M&M would start bookings of XUV500 across the country from June 8. The demand of XUV 500 is growing and to cater to the rising demand, M&M has launched the vehicle in 19 cities. The XUV500 has already won several awards including, ‘Car of the Year’, ‘SUV of the year’ and ‘Viewers Choice Car of the Year’ by several independent agencies and media companies. In India, XUV500 faces tough competition from Chevrolet Captiva, Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Outlander.

XUV500 will not be restricted to Indian market only, but it has been designed carefully with global standards as M&M has plans to launch the vehicle globally. Recently, M&M has announced that Mahindra XUV500 will hit the showrooms in Australia soon. Since, it is a diesel engine sports utility vehicle, the M&M has plans to launch petrol engine XUV 500 as in most of the countries the prices of petrol is lesser than the prices of diesel. So, in such countries like the US, the M&M has plans to capture its share in international market.
