Mahindra's upcoming SUV XUV 500 is making waves all around. It's been a long awaited car from Mahindra. Now, it's launching very soon. Some of its spy shots have already hit the internet. Though, there are no official photographs yet from the company. Mahindra XUV 500 is expected to replce Scorpio as Mahindra's falgship model.
Mahindra is making sure there are no stones unturned and the XUV500 develops a hype in the market. Mahindra has been promoting its cars on the social networking websites for quite some time now. Mhindra's Managing Director and the Vice President have been tweeting about the company's new cars and updates. Recently, Mahindra has started a contest on its website. You have to answer four questions about the XUV500 and you stand the chance of winning a new and the awesome XUV500. There are some more prizes to be won, which include 20 tickets to the first ever Indian Grand Prix.

Mahindra XUV 500 will be powered by the same 2.2L engine as its other SUV Scorpio. But the company has made some improvements in the engine which will result in better power and torque and thus better performance. The 2.2L turbo diesel engine will generate 140bhp power and 326nm torque. It will be available in 5 and 6 speed options. XUV500 will have both two wheel and four wheel drive options available in the market. The starting price for Mahindra XUV500 is expected to be around Rs. 13 Lacs.
The hype for Mahindra XUV 500 in the Indian market, is buliding up day by day. Mahindra is launching the XUV500 on September 28. It will be launched in India and South Africa on the same day.
