Mahindra & Mahindra has announced to launch the much awaited ‘Mahindra Xylo compact MPV’ just before the Indian festive season of Diwali. This hottest news creates sensation among the aspiring buyers, which is expected to available at lower excise duty and affordable price.

The new Mahindra Xylo Mini compact MPV will be measured under the 4 meters that will result the deduction in the government excise duty. The Maruti Swift, Hyundai Eon, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat, Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo, Renault Pulse and other B-segment hatchbacks cars will be its tough competitor. Initially, the all new 2012 Mahindra Xylo Mini will be available in diesel variant only.

The official confirmation has not been made for the launch of its petrol variant but, it is speculated that the 1200cc engine in a three cylinder layout will be replaced by the petrol engine. Under the bonnet, the new Mini Xylo compact MPV will have powerful alignment of a 1.5 litre common rail turbo diesel engine, inspired by the 2.2 litre mHawk common rail diesel engine of the popular Mahindra Scorpio.

The top-end variant of the Mini Xylo will come equipped with plenty of advanced safety features like EBD, ABS, airbags etc. that mark positive to struggle against the other B-segment hatchback cars. The interior of new Mahindra Xylo Mini compact MPV is pretty comfortable and impressive. The good passenger and cargo space makes it prefect family vehicle. The launch of Xylo compact MPV will be followed by the fully electric Mahindra Reva NXR offering range of 160kms and top speed of 100kph with zero emission.
