Maruti A Star called by many names across the globe such as Maruti Alto, Suzuki Celerio and other names is the modern generation Alto. Being a market for hatchbacks both the old and the new generation A Star are found here in India as new generation Maruti A Star and the old as the Maruti Alto. Now, as per the recent information, the A Star China model has received a facelift that is considered to be a comprehensive one. The Maruti A Star in India is primarily an export product and Maruti export the car to many countries from India.

As part of the facelift to the Maruti A Star, the car maker has given the front and rear some serious improvements so that it looks somewhat different from the outgoing generation car. The headlamps are now sweptback types and take an improved appearance at the front. The front grille has also received a makeover with a new quadrangular shape and it takes a wider position at the front than the earlier generation car. There is also the Suzuki badge resting at the centre of the grill just above the horizontal curved chrome line.

Appearance wise, the front of the car is more appealing than before and it is expected that it will give a jump to the sales as well. In addition to the changes at the front, the A Star rear has also received new tail lamps. New alloys have made their way on to the A Star. The overall appearance of the new A Star seems like it is Hyundai i10 from the front and side and Renault Pulse from the rear. Engine configuration is the same and there is no change in the lineup as well. Also, there are no plans set for launching the new Star in India as the Maruti small car has already received a makeover recently.
