A consignment of 2200 cars was flagged of from the Mundra port for various destinations on Monday. These cars will be delivered in non-European nations such as Switzerland, Malta, Sweden in Europe and Algeria, Egypt and Morocco. Meanwhile, Maruti also continues its exports to Europe which is still the major export destination of the car maker. However, due to the slump in Europe, the exports fell considerably and thus Maruti had to explore new non-European markets that ultimately proved fruitful for the car maker.
