Here’s a piece of good news for the patrons of Maruti cars. The pioneering and legendary Maruti 800 is departing and will be replaced by another small car, Maruti Cervo. And the latest buzz in the air is the launch of Maruti Cervo Diesel version after the petrol trim launch.

Noted Maruti Cervo is a low cost, fuel efficient small car from its parent company Suzuki. It is believed to be priced below Maruti Alto and a notch higher above the original Maruti 800 in a price bracket of Rs 2 lakh to 2.5 lakh. This is quite obvious that Cervo is targeted at the low-cost automobile segment and is a worthy replacement for the Maruti 800. If all goes well, as per the information gathered from reliable sources, Maruti will launch the Cervo before Diwali this year. Currently, it is in the processing stage.

This will not only attract the Maruti’s patrons but also a huge customer base because of several reasons. There are rumors that the new Cervo bear resemblance with Chevrolet Beat and is has an empowered 660 cc engine for delivering great fuel efficiency. The ultra car has also borrowed patterns of Honda Jazz. Its dashboard, air vents et al. look like that from another car from the Maruti’s bandwagon, Maruti Swift.
