Maruti Cervo is speculated to replace Maruti’s oldest player in India, Maruti 800. Maruti apparently is mulling over to make Cervo, the next most affordable car from the Maruti’s clan. Maruti 800 served the customers for around two decades and found umpteen homes where it is still used as a means of transportation. Therefore, hunting a perfect replacement for a car that has been loved by the Indian customers immensely is not an easy task to accomplish.

If goes well as planned, Maruti Cervo could come to India by the end of the year that is by December 2012. The five door hatch, with roomier interiors and tempting exteriors could prove to be the best replacement for Maruti 800. Maruti Cervo price is expected to be tagged at Rs 2.5 lakh, which fits well as far as the mini hatchback segment in concerned.

However, rumour mill suggested something different earlier according to which Maruti 800 will get a complete makeover instead of being replaced by Cervo. The new Maruti 800 is likely to come affixed with a restored 800 cc engine which will have all necessary specifications to comply with the global emission norms.
