Maruti Ertiga completes 45 k bookings By Saturday, June 30, 2012 11:02 AM

Maruti Ertiga is becoming all the rage in India as it has become successful in registering 45,000 bookings till date since its launch in April. Ertiga is the first Life Utility Vehicle (LUV) which has been launched by Maruti Suzuki India limited. Maruti has a lot of expectations with Ertiga as it has not only increased the product list of the company but it managed to attract the customers to showrooms. The sources said that the brand is in demand because people prefer the vehicles which have space from inside and it should not be expensive like any other SUVs.

The company packed power, performance and space in Ertiga which is appealing with its sporty, dynamic, bold and aggressive look. It has been developed on Ritz platform. Ertiga comes with powerful K Series, 1373 cc VVT (K 14 B) engine while 1248 cc DDiS VGT engine that generates power for the diesel variant of Ertiga. The auto industry sources said that Ertiga has been designed keeping in mind the requirement and demand of Indian families, which is why, the company managed to attract the customers and around 45,000 bookings have been completed in just 3 months. 
 
The people who possess sedan have the choice of Ertiga to upgrade the vehicle which they already have in their garage. Earlier, they do not have any such options as Ertiga is first LUV which has been launched. The other key features of Ertiga are it has flexi-seating arrangement for 5 + 2. It has a lot of space for luggage. Its performance is high and it is comfortable for drivers and passengers as it is easy to drive. It generates huge power. Also, the company has used the parts which require low running and maintenance costs. The noise the engine produces is also very low and the vibration and harshness also cannot be felt much in Ertiga.  
 
Where Maruti is cherishing the moments of happiness aroused by Ertiga, there is one SUV coming that will match to Ertiga sales in India. The Renault Duster SUV is expected to share the same fundamental as the Ertiga – keep the start price down and see the wonders. It was Ertiga that started low and so is the Duster SUV expected to start between Rs 7 lakh to Rs 8 lakh or less as well. If that happens Duster will be another star performer of the Indian car industry after Ertiga.
