Maruti may unveil facelift of Swift hatchback and sedan in Indian Auto Expo 2014

With date of Indian Atuo Expo getting closer with each passing day auto enthusiasts and experts have started predicting about the upcoming cars that will be showcased during the show. Now it is rumored that country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is speculating to introduce the facelift versions of its highest selling hatchback Swift and sedan Swift Dzire during the show. The rumors regarding launch of facelift of these models got fired this year in July when company introduced the refreshed versions of these models with minute upgrades in Japan and in some European countries.

Talking about introduction of major facelifts that will be introduced in both these vehicles is concerned it is speculated that company will continue the same engine configuration in both these vehicles that are exists in current variants, i.e., petrol variants will be equipped with same 1.2 litre K-Series engine, whereas diesel variants will continue the same 1.3 litre MultiJet engine. As far as the price of these variants is concerned nothing has been so far industry enthusiasts do not have any idea however they expect that company may price the top end models of these car up to Rs. 50,000 higher than the existing models.

As it is known that MSIL is speculating to introduce a compact SUV codenamed as YBA, based on XA-Alpha platform during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 and therefore speculations are strong that it may also unveil the facelift of these vehicle also during the same show. Industry experts believe the new upgraded features may include LED daytime running lights, cruise control system, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, steering wheel wrapped with leather cover etc.
