Maruti Suzuki Ciaz: Rising star of MSIL creates a milestone
Launched almost eight months back in October 2014, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz the C segment sedan from country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited has created a milestone by pulling down the established sedans in segment. According to sales reports revealed by car maker company has sold out more 50,000 units of this sedan throughout the world after its launch. The car has successfully pulled Hyundai Verna Fluidic from second position in segment and now stands at second position just after Honda City by selling out 4,500 units of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz at an average of per month.
The premium segment sedan is available in both petrol and diesel trims with petrol engine empowered with 1.4 lite K series petrol engine churning the power of 92 bhp and torque of 130 Nm. On the other side diesel trim is energized with 1.4 litre Multijet diesel engine that boosts the power of 90 bhp and torque of 200 Nm. The engines are coated with five speed manual gearbox along with four speed automatic transmission system offered in petrol engine.
Apart from various contemporary features Ciaz is also equipped with bunch of safety features including engine immobilizer, dual horn, three point seat belts, high beam headlamps, adjustable head rest, anti theft security system, driver airbag, rear parking system, driver seat belt reminder, door ajar notification, crash sensing auto door unlock, collapsible steering wheel and few more.
