Maruti Suzuki launches Deca Edition of Swift
Leading car manufacturer of country Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the special Deca Edition of its best selling hatchback Swift in Indian car market. The Swift Deca Edition has been launched in VXi and VDi trims of both petrol and diesel variants with the price tag of Rs. 5.94 lakh and Rs. 6.86 lakh respectively (both prices are ex-showroom prices).
Continuing the same engine configuration of 1.2 litre K Series petrol engine boosting the power of 83 bhp and torque of 115Nm and 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine churning the power of 74 bhp and torque 190 Nm, with five speed manual great transmission option offered in both trims. The Deca Edition receives some contemporary upgrades in form of long strips running across the body, black colored alloy wheel followed by No. 10 printed on the side profile. On the interior front it bestows features like red ambient lighting system, dual colored upholstery, Sony touchscreen infotainment system supported with four speakers, front arm rest, illuminated door sil plates and reverse parking camera.
Addressing the launch event of Deca Edition of Swift Mr.R S Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki said, "Swift has been one of the best selling products by company which has played significant role in strengthening the position of company in hatchback segment. Talking about the Deca Edition he said that this special edition of Swift carries the legacy of Swift’s sportiness and performance with additional features to next level".
Industry experts believe that launch of this special edition might be the last special edition by Indo-Japanese car maker for Swift as company is planning to bring the generation next Swift hatchback in Indian car market sometimes during next year. It is also believed that to push the dipping sales of Swift in Indian car market, MSIL has brought this edition of Maruti Swift to lure buyers, especially during the upcoming season.
