Maruti Suzuki launches Ertiga and Swift 1.2 L in Philippines
Country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that it will be exporting its MPV Ertiga and hatchback Swift to Philippines car market. The MPV Ertiga in Indian car market is offered in all three variants including petrol, diesel and CNG. The petrol variant is equipped with 1373cc engine churning the power of 95 PS and torque of 130Nm, whereas the diesel variant is powered with 1248cc diesel engine boosting the power of 90PS and torque of 200Nm and the CNG version is offered with 1373cc K Series petrol VVT engine zooming the power of 82PS and torque of 110Nm.
The major changes that will be offered in Ertiga launched in Philippines would be in the exteriors and interiors. The exteriors will receive more aerodynamic look followed by cluster headlamps with inbuilt fog lamps close to the front bumper. The side profile receives newly designed alloy wheels followed by side view mirrors. Moving towards the rear, it will carry the new classic tail lamps. Coming inside the cabin the MPV receives new sportier dashboard, newly designed meter box, chrome garnished door handles, spacious cabin, second row air conditioner vents, steering mounted audio controls and many more.
Moving towards the Maruti Swift hatchback, it would be also the same as available in Indian car market, powered with 1.2 litre K series petrol engine, which would be the new engine configuration to Swift hatchback being sold in Philippines market till now. The earlier version of Switch sold in Philippines was equipped with 1.4 litre engine carried from Ertiga MPV. The newly introduced 1.2 litre petrol engine will deliver the fuel efficient performance of 18.6 kmpl. Talking about the other changes, the exteriors might receive daytime running lamps followed by newly developed ORVMs with turn lamps integrated on them. The interiors might be the same as existing in Indian version of Swift with minute changes.
