Maruti Suzuki Recalls 21,000 Plus Units of Dzire
Country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has recalled about 21,400 units of its bestselling compact sedan Dzire due to defect in the rear wheel hub of the units manufactured between February 23, 2017 and July 10, 2017. Earlier this year the Indo-Japanese car makers had launched the facelift version the Dzire in new avatar and removing its erstwhile identity “Swift” from its name.
According to the sources of company it has started contacting the owners of these units and had requested them to visit the nearest dealer for getting the issue inspected and rectified free of cost at the earliest. Along with this to facilitate the customers for checking that whether their Dzire also comes under the same recall company has also asked them to check the chassis number of their unit, that does it start with alphanumeric code MA3 followed b y the 14 digit number at the company’s official website. It is reported that till date company has not received any report about any injury or an accident as an impact of this defect.
It would be interested to know that the third generation of Maruti Suzuki Dzire has emerged as the biggest success for the car maker recording the sales of 1 lakh units sold in the span of five and half months. The new Dzire is based on HEARTECT platform and under the hood is empowered with 1.2 Series K litre petrol and 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine. The transmission duty is performed by both five speed manual and AMT transmission systems depending upon the option of buyer.
