Maruti Suzuki sales up with a supersonic speed
Guess who is happy this festive season? Well it’s India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki. The car maker recently announced its October 2012 sales, which has seem to gone up with a supersonic speed for sure. There is an 85.65 hike in the overall sales of MSI last month. This means the car maker managed to sell a whopping 103108 units of Maruti cars.
MSI proudly sold about 55595 units in October 2011, so according the hike in October 2012 is very impressive. If the sales are broken down, then the domestic sales are of 96002 units, which were 51458 units in 2011 during the same period. If exports are also taken into account, it has also gone up by 71.77%, which is fabulous for the car maker.
The total passenger car sales for Maruti in the Indian car market were ascended by a huge 93.75%, i.e. from 41192 units to 79811 units. We could say that one of the main reasons behind this impressive success for Maruti Suzuki India is due to its small cars. Its small cars comprise of Maruti 800
, Maruti Alto
, Maruti Wagon R
, Maruti A-Star
and the recent addition Maruti Alto 800
However, the compact car segment is also being dominated by MSI with cars like Maruti Ritz
, Maruti Swift
and Maruti Estilo
. The sales of Maruti Swift Dzire
are also increasing adequately, which has also helped the company to get a big hike in sales last month. The mid size sedan by Maruti, SX4’s sales have also been increased and the luxurious sedan, Kizashi also managed to hike up its sales.
So, on the whole, Maruti Suzuki for sure got its Diwali gift in advance in the name of such impressive sales. Now, it has to work hard with the same force to make its New Year even better!
