Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire touches the mark of 1 million units sold
According to recent reports revealed by country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited it has succeeded in selling out 10 lakh units of its compact sedan Dzire in Indian car market. The compact sedan made its first entrance in Indian car market almost seven years back in 2008 and with its launch it emerged as trendsetter in its segment, strengthening company’s position in domestic car market.
It would be interested to know that compact sedan Dzire is not only the product by car market to achieve this milestone as its other siblings namely Alto, Wagon R and Swift in hatchback segment have also succeeded in achieving this mark.
Addressing a note on this achievement Mr. R. S. Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, MSIL, said that Dzire is completely a family car and interestingly its upgraded version with contemporary features and improved fuel efficiency the compact sedan has been open heartedly accepted by Indian car enthusiasts. This has helped company to enhance its position in India. Apart from domestic car market the compact sedan is also exported to countries like Central and South America, Africa, Middle East ASEAN and SAARC countries.
