Riding on the success achieved in countries like Uruguay, Maruti has launched its Maruti Swift Dzire in Chile. With an aim to increase the volume of cars being sold in the world, Maruti has plans to capture car markets in South America and North America. So far, Maruti Suzuki has been successful in capturing its share in the market in South America but now it has decided to move towards the North America. To begin with, Swift Dzire has been launched in Chile.

The company has given three different choices as it has launched Swift Dzire in three variants — Maruti Swift Dzire GA without AC, Maruti Swift Dzire GA with AC and Maruti Swift Dzire GL is the top variant. The media reports suggest that GA variant without air conditioner is a base model and is priced at 5,790,000 pesos which would be equal to approximately Rs 6.54 lakh. It is the model priced lowest among all the three variants. The other variant which is priced slightly higher to base model is GA with AC. It has been made available at 5,990,000 pesos which would be equal to Rs 6.77 lakh approximately. The third variant is the top model and is fully loaded. The price tag of the Swift Dzire GL is 6,390,000 pesos, which is equal to Rs 7.22 lakh approximately.

The prices are different but the engine installed in the car is the same. It is the 1.2 L K series engine which gives power to all the three variants of Suzuki Swift Dzire. The engine produces 85 hp. But, one variant which has not been launched in Uruguay and Chile is 4 speed automatic variant. In India 4 speed automatic variant has been made available by Suzuki. But, Suzuki has plans to launch diesel variant in Uruguay and Chile in the coming days, auto industry sources said. The other features of the car launched in Chile are dual airbags, power steering, air conditioning and four electric windows.
