Maruti to equip AMT technology in its upcoming cars
Maurti Suzuki India Limited country’s leading car manufacturing company is flying on seventh sky with the overwhelming response received by its recent launch Celerio hatchback. It would be interested to know that integration of AMT technology has played an incredible role in huge success of Celerio and has emerged as revolutionary technique in car segment in current scenario. The success of AMT technology can be witnessed from the fact that the waiting period of Celerio AMT version has raised up-to six months.
Now it is reported that inspired from the success of Celerio AMT version, company is speculating to introduce the same feature in its upcoming and ongoing products. Reports reveal that company has silently phased out automatic version of its hatchback Ritz and Maruti Swift Dzire, with dealers showing their inability to sale the vehicles due to unavailability of stocks. Industry experts believe that this might be company’s strategy for offering the AMT version of these products. This speculation is made after the statement from Mr. S. Mitra, COO, Supply Chain, MSIL saying that company will introduce AMT in its other products also.
According to Mr. Mitra, company will bring AMT technique in India at its production plat as at present it is being imported from one of its suppliers located in Italy. In the words of Mr. Mitra that its Italian supplier is going to locate himself in India and once it starts manufacturing it in India it will be offered in other products of company also.
