Maruti to recall one lakh units of Swift Dzire to resolve the issue of fuel neck filler
Leading to car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki I India Limited has announced to call back one lakh units of Swift Dzire to resolve the issue related with fuel tank. Although nothing has been far said by company officials in this regards, but according to sources of auto industry, company has started replacing the affected fuel neck filler connected to fuel tank on all units of Swift Dzire
available with Maruti dealers across the nation. It would be interested to know that as most of affected units are still with dealers therefore replacing the affected part would not put any financial burden on company.
According to sales figures revealed by company it had sold out 197, 685 units of Swift Dzire during the financial year 2013-14, form this during the month of March this year it had sold out 17,237 units in India. One thing which is surprising to all industry experts is no reaction from high management of MSIL and taking their hands back on this issue by saying “NO COMMENTS”. On the contrary earlier company had informed customers on any such issues.
Commenting on this whole issue the officials of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said that they had not received any information from company on this regard. It would be interested to know that since its inception Swift Dzire has been one of the best selling cars of company receiving positive response from all segments of car enthusiasts in Indian car market.
