The Italian luxury car maker Maserati has created a sensation among the car enthusiasts at the ongoing Frankfurt auto expo with the unveiling of its much awaited and most talked about – Kubang Sports utility Vehicle (SUV) concept. The car maker, which was so far developing sedans and coupes, is now looking forward to mark its entry into the rapidly growing luxury SUV segment.

It is not the first time when company has showcased the Kubang SUV concept at any expo, as the same concept was showcased at the Detroit Auto Expo in January. However, this time, the SUV was more developed, giving force to the speculations of an early launch of the SUV.

Only a few specifications details of the SUV are known as the firm is yet to come-up with full specifications details of the vehicle. The all new Maserati Kubang will be powered by an advanced Maserati proprietary engine that will be designed in Modena by Paolo Martinelli. The other specification details of the car include 8 speed automatic transmission system coupled with a range of technological feature to set the performance at a desired level, Maserati Product Development Department (MPDD) designed suspensions, brakes and steering, and Many more.

In a press release issued on the occasion, the firm said that style, engine, suspensions, brakes, handling and performance will all be 100% Maserati in picture-perfect continuity with the brand's core values of sportiness, style, elegance, luxury, performance and craftsmanship. According to the firm, at a time when many other car brands are thinking to develop a luxury SUV, Maserati is thinking to produce one, after successfully developing the concept of the vehicle.
