Maurti Suzuki launches Dzire Diesel AMT, priced Rs. 8.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Finally the beginning of 2016 got its first launch in form of AMT Diesel in one of its best selling cars the compact sedan Dzire in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 8.39 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The AMT transmission system has been introduced in the ZDi variant of Dzire which is its top end variant. With this launch Dzire becomes the fourth car from Indo-Japanese car makers to get equipped with AMT system. The first car to be embellished with AMT system, which is often referred as Auto Gear Shift was Celerio hatchback, facilitating drivers to drive their car smoothly in high traffic areas.
Continuing the existing 1248cc, DDiS diesel engine whopping the power of 73.9 bhp at 4,000 rpm and torque of 190 Nm @ 2,000 rpm the AMT version of Dzire diesel is endorsed to deliver the fuel efficient performance of 26.59 kmpl. As far as other cosmetic changes are concerned the AMT Dzire continues the existing looks except the mounting of AGS badge at the rear of car.
