Mercedes A class receives 400 bookings in just 10 days
Mercedes A class, the new luxury car in India by country's one of the largest luxury car makers has done very well within just 10 days of launch. The company has reported that within 10 days of launch, its new A Class luxury hatchback has received more than 400 bookings. The overwhelming company has also said that the company has received more than 90,000 bookings globally since its launch in September, 2012.

Mercedes Benz India said that this is the largest bookings in the shortest time span across any model range for it. The popular luxury hatchback Mercedes Benz A Class was launched in India on 30th May, 2013. It is available in both petrol and diesel models. Its petrol variant is called the A180 Sport which is priced at Rs 21.93 lakh while the diesel trim comes at Rs 22.73 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
The new A Class is one of the most fuel efficient luxury cars in India. Its petrol model has been loaded with a 1.6L turbocharged petrol engine churning out max power of 121 BHP along with peak torque of 200 Nm. It offers 12.05 Kmpl of mileage in city areas and 15.05 Kmpl on long roads. Meanwhile, diesel trim has a 2.2L diesel motors that generating peak power of 109 BHP and top torque of 260 Nm. It provides 17.05 Kmpl of mileage on city roads 20.06 Kmpl on highways as per ARAI. On the other hand, the German auto major will also launch the new version of the E Class luxury saloon in India on June 25.
