Mercedes Benz India launches locally assembled E Class
Mercedes Benz India has started the production of their most successful luxury sedan, new Mercedes Benz E Class at their Chakan assembly. The company also launched the new E Class in India with both petrol and diesel engine choices. Petrol variant of luxury executive sedan E-Class is priced at Rs 40.73 lakh while the diesel model comes at Rs 43.65 lakh (Ex-showroom Pune).
The new E-Class which is being produced at Chakan plant of the company is 11 mm longer than old model. It comes with new sporty exterior body styling, revised new bonnet, trunk, front and rear bumpers. India assembled new E Class comes fitted with over 2,000 new parts and components which give more luxury touch in the segment.
Mileage of the new E Class has also been made impressive such as new E-Class 200 CGI petrol model offers 13.8 kmpl which is 8 per cent more than old. With a full tank of fuel, the E 200 CGI petrol can run for up to 1,100 kms while, the E250 CDI diesel covers a distance of up to 1,380 kms with a full fuel tank. Till now, Mercedes Benz has sold over 11 million units of the E Class globally. And it has been the most successful model for the company.
