Hyundai Motors has launched the awaited new version of Hyundai i20 with a fleet of new features that are based on customer’s feedback. The new premium hatchback will be called ‘Hyundai i-Gen i20’. Available in as many as 12 variants, it starts with INR 4.73 Lakh and goes up to INR 6.65 Lakh for petrol models besides entry-level diesel variants with that opens with INR 5.96 Lakh and ends up with INR 7.44 Lakh. Furthermore, the Automatic Transmission (AT) version is tagged at INR 7.67 Lakh. All prices are of ex-showroom, Delhi. The 2012 i20 holds some ultramodern and innovative elements under its kitty.

Hyundai claims that its new i-Gen i20 is loaded with more calibrate and revamped 1.2 Liter Kappa engine with dual VTVT mechanism that allows it to churn maximum power of 84 PS. In addition, there is a bettered 1.4 CRDi inline that is mated by a 6-speed manual transmission. This diesel engine has got the potential to toss out max power of 90 PS with its peak torque being 22.4 kgm. Besides this, there is 1.4 Gamma petrol Automatic variant available that produces maximum power of 100 PS with its peak torque of 13.9 kgm.

You will find this machine all perfect in terms of fuel efficiency too. The 1.2 Kappa Dual VTVT powered i-Gen i20 has got the ARAI acclaimed mileage of 18.5 km/l, while its 1.4 liter diesel variant gives mileage of 21.9 km/l. Moreover, the 1.4 liter petrol AT transmission of this car has got commendable fuel efficiency of 15 km/l.
