New Land Rover Range Rover Launched at Rs 1.72 crore
Indian Conglomerate Tata Motors acquired British auto firm Jaguar Land Rover today has launched the 2013 model of Range Rover premium SUV. The 2013 New Range Rover price opens with INR 1.72 Crore for base model and ends up at INR 1.9 Crore for the tailor-made variant. The class leading off roader with staggering looks has been luring the adventurous auto freaks across the globe since decades. And now, this 4th Generation Range Rover will take a toll on the likes of Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus LX 570.

The new version has remarkable detailing around the sleeker headlamps and artistic bumper line. Of the late, the all-new Range Rover 2012 has also bagged a 5-star rating, the maximum, in Euro NCAP crash tests. Launched in a total of three variants, with two of petrol, namely Vogue and Autobiography, there is lone diesel version in the form of Vogue variant. The New 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Mk4 is offered with choice of petrol and diesel V8 variants. Here the 4.4L V8 diesel engine generates outmost power of 334 PS at 3500 rpm and topnotch torque of 600 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm. On the other side, the gigantic 5.0L supercharged petrol motor yields 503PS of maximum power at 6500 rpm along with 510 Nm of top torque at 6500 rpm. Both the powertrains are coupled with innovative 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
With full-aluminum monocoque formation it has shed weight by 420 kgs, which makes it safer, lighters and stronger. Inside is more oozing luxury inspired from Evoque model together with updated gadgetry. Earlier this year, it was unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Moreover, with advance Terrain Response System 2 it is ready to conquer terrain.
And recently the all new Range Rover 2012 has bagged maximum numbers in Euro NCAP crash tests. The Range Rover 2012 is much advanced than its forerunners in many aspects. Especially, the chassis of the car is much advanced and sturdy. Compared to the previous generations of Range Rover, the aluminium monocoque of Range Rover 2012 is around 420 Kilograms lighter and rigid.
The recently held NCAP crash tests of this ultimate SUV add another milestone in Range Rover’s kitty. In all aspects the car has been applauded by the automobile experts. This time at the Euro-NCAP crash tests, Range Rover 2012 got 91 percent for its adult occupant protection, 96 percent for the safety features, 84 percent for child occupant protection and 63 percent for pedestrian safety.
Moreover, the vehicle offers marginal protection to the front seat passengers’ chest during side pole crash test. Likewise, the protection availed by seat restraint and seat back during rear collision was also marginal. However, the child occupant protection and pedestrian protection is incredible through this premium crossover. This classy crossover is also exceptional in terms of looks and interiors. The rival killing looks and comfortable leather interiors makes it stand apart from the premium SUV crowd.
