New Maruti Swift Dzire to be launched in February 2012
The all-new Maruti Swift Dzire will hit the company showrooms across the nation in the first week on February 2012. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has decided to greet its consumers a belated New Year in the form of New Swift Dzire that is loaded with as many as 150 new features compared to existing version of hot-selling sedan. The sedan will be shorter than the current version and will be based on a fresh platform that is dedicatedly built for 2012 Maruti Swift Dzire. The sub 4 meter sedan will be offered in regular diesel as well as petrol powered engines.
The earlier rumors of new Maruti Dzire coming at a lower price than the existing were turned down; when a senior company official informed that the car is bound to see new pricing when it gets introduced next month with host of new elements.

The sedan will be powered by 1.2L petrol engine, while the diesel run motor will get an engine of 1.3L. In the petrol version an additional variant of AT (Automatic Transmission) is also expected to arrive with New Swift Dzire.
According to Mr. Mayank Pareek, the Managing Executive Officer for Sales and Marketing at MSI the company has invested a huge capital of around INR 230 Crore for the new model of Dzire. As of now, the firm is focusing to address the concern of waiting period for existing Dzire by steadily ramping up the production, he added.
The Maruti Swift Dzire that made its debut in 2008 has sold more than 3.2 Lakh units nationwide. The present sedan costs nearly INR 4.94 Lakh for the base variant and goes up to INR 7.29 Lakh for the top end model. Both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
Recently, MSI has unveiled a new SUV in concept as Maruti XA Alpha at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo along with its new MPV Maruti Ertiga.
