The bubble shaped car Nissan Micra is about to come in a new shape and styling probably next year. The only small car by Nissan is now at a juncture that it is in need of a facelift and it seems to be essential when its French ally Renault has rebadged it to make Renault Pulse. However, as per the reports available, the small car Nissan will not be undergoing drastic changes and there will be the usual changes on the outside and a lot of it inside. Notably, the Micra hatchback has been the bestselling car by Nissan followed by Nissan Sunny sedan.

The expected facelift will be giving the Nissan car a fresh look that is all the more necessary any car is almost 1-2 year old. And for Micra it will be three next year and thus it would be quite necessary to give it a facelift. Primarily, the front and the sides besides the rear are going to receive the changes. The front grille, new pair of headlamps and a new bumper are the obvious changes expected along with a new pair of tail lamps and some design changes to the hatch as well. All in all it will retain the present looks as the car has been able to receive much response and has settle itself following its unique shape. Thus, it would very hard for Nissan to give it a really revolutionary makeover.

A lot of chrome work as well as adding new colors to the car are some of the changes expected. In addition to this Nissan Micra may also be launched in a Sports version as Fiat has already launched the Fiat Punto Sports and Maruti is expected to launch the Maruti Swift Sport soon. No change to the engine lineup is expected on the new Micra and neither the turbocharged petrol version nor the automatic version is expected enter India.
