New Nissan Teana rolled out in China as Altima
Nissan has recently launched the new generation Nissan Teana in Chinese car market. The car has been rechristened as Nissan Altima to give it a refreshing and new feel. The car has been provided with revamped exteriors accompanied by interiors that are designed very smartly. You would notice the larger headlamps charming the frontage of the car. The refurbished taillight graphics would certainly draw you towards it. Furthermore, the car features revised rear view monitor camera, impressively done interiors keeping in mind the space for all occupants and the sportiness in the overall persona. The chrome highlights here and there makes sure to add a bit of glamour and Bling to the new Nissan Altima.
Besides the impressive and inspiring interiors and exteriors, Nissan Altima also comes with very strong and commendable powertrain, the car features 2.5-Litre petrol motor, which is extremely brawly and dynamic. This motor is capable of churning out maximum power output of 182HP along with sufficient amount of torque. The XTronic CVT transmission coupled with the engine makes the car performance outstanding. This CVT transmission is also seen in India with Renault Scala.
So far, there is no green signal about the launch of Nissan Altima in the Indian car market. Currently, the firm is keeping mum about the same. However, right now, the previous generation Nissan Teana is already present in the country, which is doing a decent business. On the same note, Nissan is planning to set up a Datsun plant for India, which would manufacture Datsun small cars for the Indian car market. Apart from this, Nissan India is also planning to bring in Nissan Sylphy Sedan to India in 2013. The launch date has been confirmed so far, but an official announcement for the same is just round the corner.
