New Skoda car to launch by year end
Skoda, the Czech car major is working hard towards bringing a new mid-size sedan car in the Indian auto market. the company is planning to bring this new saloon by the end of the running year. The Skoda mid sized sedan will give a straight competition to the likes of Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Fiat Linea and soon to launch Ford Fiesta Global. The new Skoda compact sedan is speculated to get an official appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show which is scheduled in the month of September 2011.
The platform on which this new Skoda mid sized sedan will be developed is same as the one used in company’s parent Volkswagen’s Vento. This is a successful model in market which was launched last year.
As per the recent statements made by Mr. Thomas Kuehl who is the board member, sales and marketing, Skoda Auto India, the company’s soon to launch entry-level limousine will be a best deal in the given price tag. He also said that with this high potential launch the company will be able to side maximum sales in the category. He also stated that Skoda Laura and Skoda Superb are two such models in company’s portfolio that offer best in class quality, drivability, design, and equipment and with this new launch the company expect the same performance. The company has also stated that Indian auto market will be one of the first ones to receive the car.
