The Rs 21.58 lakh car – Toyota Camry by the Japanese is about to be launched in its new incarnation. There has been a sudden increase in the number of spy shots of this car over the internet and it seems that the launch is round the corner may be anytime this month. Notably, the new Camry has already been showcased at the New Delhi Auto Expo held in January this year and since then the car market has been eagerly awaiting its launch in India. In the country the premium segment sedan Camry is a competitor of Hyundai Sonata, Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Superb, Nissan Teana and Honda Accord primarily and it has maintained its decent presence in being the executive car of India.   

Now that the new Camry is about to be launched in India, there has been commotion in the segment. However, except Sonata, all other cars were already there since a long time and new Camry’s entry will be dampening Sonata sales mostly. As per the latest information, the Camry has been spotted in Mumbai several times during this week. Meanwhile there have been reports that the new Camry will be built at the Bidadi plant. Reports also have suggested that the new Toyota car will begin sales this month. It is also said that the new Camry will not have a diesel engine under the hood as the car is a petrol only car since beginning of its career.

It is said that it will be launched in two engine options four pot 2.5 L and 3.5 L V6 engine. Both the engines promise performance as it is performance, safety and comfort matter the most than mileage or fuel option. Also, with the in house assembling of the new Camry, it is expected that there will be a drastic price slash and thus the car will be able to outshine its competitors well.
