Nissan Evalia MPV launched at Auto Expo
Japanese car giant Nissan has launched its MPV Nissan NV200 aka Nissan Evalia at the Auto Expo today. This is the first day of Auto Expo and cars have started showering in India. As per sources, Nissan will commence the production of Nissan Evalia by mid this year and will be then available across the Nissan dealerships. This is a seven seater MPV and has quite conservative styling and looks however, from the front and sides it looks quite big and stunning. It has sliding doors for the middle row and has a 2+3+2 seating ratio.
The Nissan Evalia also has individual seats at the front and last row while there is bench type seat at the middle. Looking at the MPV from inside, one feels that is no dearth of space inside and there is comfortable room for the head, leg and even at the third row. Akin to the Honda CR-V, the Nissan Evalia has a joystick type gear shift lever and is mounted on the dashboard giving adequate space on the cabin floor. There is enough boot space created if the lat row seats are folded and can accommodate two large suitcases.
Evalia is approximately 4.4m in length and has a height of 1.88m besides being 1.69metre wide. The wheelbase is of 2725mm is almost the same as that of the Innova. The MPV has an electric operated power steering that gives ultimate comfort with respect to driving and handling and is easy to maneuver despite its large size and wide wheelbase. The fuel tank is also placed under the seat of the driver and the fuel cap is on the B pillar making it much different from regular MPVs. The suspension of the Nissan Evalia has been made strong to take on any road conditions and it makes it a rough and tough MPV. A 1.5L dCi diesel powertrain that has 86 bhp power gives thrust to Nissan Evalia and it seems to be very frugal.
