Nissan Sunny and Micra recalled over master brake cylinder problem

Nissan India has recalled 22,188 units of the Nissan Sunny sedan and Micra hatchback produced at the Chennai facility to replace the master brake cylinder. Nissan Motor Company has also globally recalled about 2.5 lakh units of these cars due to mistake in fuel rail pressure sensor used in direct injection type motors. The company has recalled a total of 67,089 units of Sunny and Micra cars from Asia, Africa and Europe due to faulty of brake cylinder.

India available Nissan Micra hatchback and Sunny sedan are being produced at its Oragadam plant near Chennai in Tamil Nadu, will undergo to replace the master brake cylinder. The company will replace the faulty component free of cost, and mistakes will be corrected at Nissan dealerships across the country.

In Indian auto market, the Micra hatchback and Sunny sedan are flagship car models by the company which are being offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The small car Micra has competition with Maruti Ritz, Ford Figo and Hyundai i10. Meanwhile, the specious sedan Sunny is giving well competition to Maruti Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios and Chevrolet Sail. It is also announced that next generation version of the Micra hatchback will be launched in India between June and July this year.
