The Japanese car maker, Nissan Motors stated that it will study the Indian auto market prior introducing its cars tagged at a cheaper price than hatchback, Nissan Micra. Takayuki Ishida, CEO & Managing Director of Nissan Motor India commented that they are studying the demands and will introduce the cars as per the needs. The official also added that their aim is to flourish Nissan in all the car segments in the Indian auto market.

The official affirmed that Nissan is planning to introduce one or two models every year on the Indian shores. He added that they are at present evaluating the needs and demands of the potential Indian buyers and will introduce the cars accordingly. Back in 2010, Nissan India introduced its global compact hatchback, the Nissan Micra, symbolizing as company’s first locally made product to capture the most sold segment in India.

In last fiscal year, the car maker sold more than 30,000 units and now they are geared up to sell more with significant figures. Commenting about the same, the official stated that they sold 33,000 units in the last fiscal year and now they look forward to double the figures in current fiscal year.

At present, Nissan is spread with 74 outlets across the country and is objecting to make the dealership count of 100 by the end of the current financial year. The car maker that sells models i.e. Micra, Sunny and X-Trail will introduce an efficient MPV, the Evalia by next month. Talking about the Nissan Evalia launch, the official stated that they will launch Evalia just before the festive season. He also said that with the launch of Evalia, the car maker would be establishing itself in entirely new segment.

Called as ‘Urban-class utility vehicle’, the Evalia would be a seven seater MPV enriched with impressive space, high fuel efficiency and comfortable drivability, thereby catering the patrons with enjoyable experience.
