Nissan’s new sales and marketing unit in Mumbai
Nissan Motor India Private Limited, the Indian arm of Japanese auto giant Nissan Motors has established its new sales and marketing unit in Mumbai, located in Equinox Business Park, Kurla (West). The unit was inaugurated by Mr. Takashi Hata, Senior Vice President, Nissan Motor Company. This is the second largest unit of Japanese car maker in country after its head office in Chennai. According to reports among the 200 experienced work force working at Nissan Motors India Private Limited 50 of the employees would be appointed at the sales and marketing unit established in Mumbai.
The strength of sales and marketing unit in Mumbai will be enhanced to 150 by the end of this year and would be looking after all the operations for Nissan and Datsun vehicles. Apart from this Japanese car maker had also established its regional office at Delhi as the part of its expansion strategy. Moving ahead company also wishes to explore its regional centers in different parts of country to reach people.
In the words of Mr. Kenichiro Youmra, President, Nissan India Operations, company has made sufficient changes in enhance its business structure in Indian car market. And therefore as an impact of these developments today company is capable of looking after the operational activities of both Nissan and Datsun brands at the same time. Mr. Yomura also added that establishment of sales and marketing unit in Mumbai will facilitate company to make its reach more closer to people in this growing market.
