No Maybach from Mercedes!
Maybach, which was the ultra luxurious car brand from Mercedes-Benz, has been pulled-off from the market. There had been no official announcement or press release. Instead, the firm gave out a revamped price list, which has ‘discontinued’ written in front of all the Maybach models available. That points to a complete phase out of the Maybach cars. To clear the existing stock of Maybach, the car models are expected to be sold out with hefty discounts of more than Rs. 50 lakh.

Mercedes Benz’s parent company, called Daimler refreshed the Maybach brand in the year of 2003 and since then it has been struggling to establish itself in the market. The sales figures had not been impressive at all. However, in spite of the tumbling sales, the firm didn’t put a full stop on the production of Maybach models like Landaulet, 62 and 57. But, it was becoming difficult for the firm to keep on producing such expensive model that failed to show any good sales in the market. Therefore, it was best to discontinue the models. But, it would surely have been nice, if instead of being quiet, it has made an official announcement of discontinuing Maybach in the market.

Maybach was competing with the champions like Bentley and Rolls Royce. Maybach sadly wasn’t able to lure anyone, even the loaded aspiring car consumers.
