Premier plans 100 dealerships by Dec’12, Rio launching soon

Premier Rio SUV seems to be transforming the compact SUV market first than other entrants such as Ford Ecosport and Renault Duster. Now that the Premier Rio is soon to have the 1.3 L Fiat sourced multijet engine under the hood, the Indian car maker is strengthening the dealer network. Notably, Premier Rio 1.3 L Multijet is seen as a major addition to the lineup and is seen to add value to the car and could attract more car buyers. With the new Premier Rio SUV will be able to better counter the upcoming compact SUV.

Now that the Premier Rio rivals are coming soon, the desperation can be clearly seen but the desperation is positive as Premier has decided to expand the dealership network in India so that the new SUV model can have a wider base. Also, with the Rio powered by the 1.3 L multijet engine, it will also qualify the BSIV norms and that means it can be sold in the metropolitan cities. Currently the diesel Premier Rio is available in BSIII compliant version only.
