Premier Automobiles or currently known as Premier had launched a new diesel variant of its SUV, Rio a couple of days ago. The car certainly got an awe-inspiring response as soon as it was launched in the Indian car market. The Premier Rio 1.3Litre MultiJet deliveries have begun from today. The new Premier Rio has been blessed with 1.3 litre of MultiJet diesel engine that has been borrowed from Fiat. Premier had signed a contract with Fiat India for Rio in May 2012. Under this contract, Fiat India would provide 28000 units of 1.3Litre of MultiJet diesel engine to Premier.

Right now, country’s oldest car maker has a strong and dynamic services and sales network in the country with 55 dealers. This figure is expected to be risen to 100 by the end of this year. The company is also making a complete effort to set-up about 200 PASS or Premier Authorized Service Stations to cater Rio across the country. The firm also has its own assembly plant located in Pune, which has a capacity of producing about 1000 units every month.

Now the question comes-up that what is so special in the new Premier Rio 1.3L MultiJet? And the answer comes out to be the engine. The car has 1.3Litre of MultiJet diesel Engine that is capable of producing 75PS of peak power and delivers a good mileage of 19kmpl. The Premier Rio Petrol is currently being sold in Tier II and II cities because of some emission problems.

The new Premier Rio with 1.3Litre MultiJet diesel engine is christened with CRDi4 and the SUV is accompanied by a nominal price tag of Rs. 6.7 lakh and above. Besides the engine and fuel economy, the exteriors and the interiors of the SUV has been kept similar to the other variants of Premier Rio.
