Range Rover Evoque expects a November launch at INR 50 Lakhs for entry level
Land Rover’s compact crossover Range Rover Evoque is all set to bang the Indian automotive sector in the first week of November this year. Land Rover; a UK based firm now a part of homegrown multinational auto giant Tata Motors, which chiefly focuses on producing premium luxury SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) has displayed the Range Rover Evoque at Frankfurt Motor Show 2011. One of the most anticipated compact SUV is likely to be retailed at an approximate price tag of INR 50 Lakhs for the entry level.
The off roader will be presented in petrol as well as diesel as engine options; the 2.0L turbo petrol powered engine will be capable to generate 240 PS alongside the 2.2L common rail diesel turbo charged engine expected to churn out 190 PS. A 6-speed automatic transmission will be available with both engine choices.
Range Rover Evoque appears to be capacious enough from its exterior designs, looking at the front grille and bonnet one might get mistaken it as a concept vehicle. At the rear the tail lights are mounted at bit high in comparison to any other SUV along with a lustrous spoiler resting at the top, the two exhaust pipes are efficiently placed at the left and right corner of the crossover.
For a proper driving position the steering column is adjustable, the roomy interior comes packed with modern gadgets and gizmos such as split-screen console display for occupants to watch television and DVD’s, seats are stitched with upper class leather.
Range Rover’s advanced four wheel drive system and terrain response off-road system for adventure trips will be one of its kinds in the Range Rover Evoque.
This luxury compact SUV is expected to be more fuel efficient in its segment and will compete with Audi Q7 in its segment.
