With back to back launches starting with Renault Fluence sedan, Renault Koleos and then recently the Renault Pulse small car, the car maker has decided to make India its home. As per recent updates, a Renault Duster based Renault Dacia MPV called as Dacia Lodgy could make its way in India. We known that Renault Duster SUV is already slated to be launched in June this year and with this update, auto world has focused its anticipating eyes on Renault. However the 4.5m stretched Renault Duster could take another a year or two to enter Indian car market.
By the time Renault Dacia Lodgy launch will happen, the Indian car market will be hot with sensational Maruti Ertiga, Mahindra Xylo Mini besides other MPVs lined up this year. The Romanian car Lodgy signifies that it will be quite spacious car and will have a seating for seven comfortably. Initial reflections about the Dacia Lodgy is that it will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show and will take another year or so for development and before it could hit production and series of launches worldwide.
The new MPV from Renault’s Romanian Subsidiary Dacia will have excellent scope in India as there MPV segment is going to bulge in the coming months. Preliminary reports suggest that it will be front wheel driven car and will have 1.6L petrol and 1.5L diesel options. Internationally it will be launched as a left hand driven vehicle and within no time, it will be launched in India then. However experts believe that the new MPV by Renault will be at second priority as Renault Pulse petrol and a sedan based on Pulse is in the present lie up for India.
