Kudos! Indian team has yet again proved its might with a 4-1 victory over Sri Lanka in the Micromax Cup 2012. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli became the Man of the Series and was awarded a sparkling new Renault Duster SUV. Kohli maintained an average of 74 runs and scored 296 runs in the series and thus became the Man of the Series. Presenting him with Duster seems to be just as the Duster Diesel returns a mileage of 20.46 kmpl which is exceptional in its segment. The Rs 7.19 lakh SUV Duster has been warmly accepted in India and like the Maruti Ertiga in the MPV segment, this SUV seems to be overtaking all others in the under Rs 10 lakh price band.

Cars and Cricket has a long drawn relationship. It was Sachin Tendulkar who brought the Ferrari to India and he has recently become the brand ambassador of BMW India. Notably Virat Kohli is already a brand ambassador of Toyota cars in India. Meanwhile, other cricketers are also promoting one or the other automobile such as Mahender Singh Dhoni is promoting Hero motorbikes in India apart from other products. Also, cricketers are big fan of cars and every other cricketer maintains a slew of cars in their garage and why not when both racing a car and playing cricket needs an adrenaline pump up.

After the prize ceremony, the Indian cricket team climbed up the Duster SUV and Dhoni took the wheels while Kohli and Pathan seated themselves on the bonnet while other team members took seats inside and other ones climbed the side skirts holding the roof rails of the Duster. It was none less than a World Cup Victory like scene Dhoni drove the car on the sides of the ground getting a huge applause from the mammoth crow present at the stadium.
