The recently launched Renault Duster has no doubt created a new segment and history seems to be in the making. With exceptional sales, Duster launch is now included in the most successful car launches of 2012. The other one being Maruti Ertiga that is in demand highly despite of the bulging waiting period. Now, the French car maker has decided to offer the Duster in a seven seater option as well. It is said that sensing the fact that SUV are mostly misunderstood as people movers, Renault will be putting in two jump seats at the third row to expand the seating from current five to seven.

It is no doubt a fact that India uses most of the SUV as MPVs and this is the reason why Mahindra Scorpio is so popular amazingly as it offers comfortable seating for seven. This has been proved by the Mahindra Jeep (presently Mahindra Thar) that is used as people mover rather than putting it to real time off roading. This is the reason why soft roaders have preference as not all SUV buyers put their car to the dusty, sandy terrains. This is the reason why Mahindra Xylo has been so popular as it offers lots of space for seven people. Now that Duster is coming in the seven seater option, it is believed that its sales will get an all time high with it.

Meanwhile, the craze for Duster is gaining momentum across the country after the car maker had launched it on July 4 in New Delhi and subsequent launches throughout the nation. The SUV is said to have achieved 6000 plus booking in less than a week of its launch and the latest Duster sales figures are awaited but early predictions suggest that this month, Duster is going to beat Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari sales.
