With no time left in the launch much awaited Renault Duster, we have brought the collection of specs and features of this compact crossover. Renault Duster will tomorrow hit the Indian shores in both petrol and diesel inline options i.e. 1.6 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel in-lines. Renault Duster will be available in three trims i.e. RxE, RxL and RxZ. As far as the features are concerned, you will find the top end variant of Duster loaded with safety features like ABS with EBD & BA, Dual front aribags, impact sensing door unlock, speed sensing door lock, driver seat belt warning, Engine Immobilizer, Day & Night IRVM etc.

It is expected that the Duster compact crossover will lock horns with other popular crossovers like Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari, Chevrolet Tavera and recently launched Maruti Ertiga. The production of Renault Duster is been done from Renault – Nissan’s Orgadam plant located near Chennai.

The 1.5 litre diesel engine of Renault Duster would be available in two variants. The 1.6 litre petrol engine will have potential to churn peak power of 100 bhp with its peak torque being 160 Nm. However, the 1.5 litre diesel engine will have calibre to churn peak power of 85 Bhp with its maximum torque being 200 Nm. The other 1.5 litre diesel inline will have peak power of 110 bhp and maximum torque of 240 Nm. Fuel efficiency claimed for the 1.6 litre petrol engine is 13.24 kmpl while for the 1.5 litre engines fuel economy would be around 19 to 20 kmpl.

For maximum comfort and convenience of the occupants, the company has blessed the Duster with Power steering, Central Locking, Power windows, Boot light, Tailgate push button, Trip meter, Music system with USB + AUX + SD Reader, Four speakers, Multi-functioning steering wheel, Rear seat centre armrest with cup-holders, Glove box, Height adjustable driver seat, Reverse parking sensors etc.

Interiors of Duster will have the dual tone light grey/dark carbon dashboard, AC vents surrounded by chrome, dual tone dark grey black seats, rear foldable seats, wooden trim on embellisher etc. The company has kept the Navigation system, Leather seats and Rear AC vents as optional.

Furthermore, the exteriors of this compact SUV will feature headlamps surrounded by chrome stripping, chrome front grille, body colored bumpers, black side stripping, black door handles, 16” alloy wheels/steel wheels, front fog lamps, body colored ORVMs, chrome exhaust etc. Speculations are that the company would keep the price of Duster below Rs. 6 lakh.
