Renault India appoints new sales and marketing ED
With aggressively planning to expand their footprints in the country, the Indian unit of the leading French car maker Renault has appointed Mr. Sawhney as their new executive director to spearhead their marketing and sales department. Mr. Sawhney brings in Renault camp their huge experience in the Indian automobile industry. He has been associated with sales, marketing and after sales activities in leading positions.

The new Executive Director of the company will be based in Chennai at company’s headquarters, and will be assuming his new position from the starting of next month onwards. He will be reporting to Renault India Pvt Ltd’s managing director Mr. Marc Nassif. He will be replacing Mr. Len Curran, VP, and Marketing & Sales, who will now relocate within the Renault group.

The company is currently working on their plans of having a strong sales network of 100 outlets in the Indian market by the end of this year. Thus, the company’s top brass had been opting for a highly experience local professional to strengthen their market base. According to a statement given by Mr. Nassif, the company welcomes Mr. Sawhney in to the Renault family and they are confident the he will ensure company’s rapid growth in the right path with his huge experience and understanding Indian automobile industry.

With their Indian portfolio is gradually hosting a wider range of cars, the company is looking forward to not only localize their products but also their talent pool in the coming years, and the appointment of Mr. Sawhney is a big step ahead in this direction. Being well on track with their expansion plans in India, Renault currently has five vehicles in their India portfolio including compact hatchback Renault Pulse, midsized Renault Scala, premium sedan Renault Fluence, premium Sports Utility Vehicle Renault Duster and luxury SUV Renault Koleos.
