Renault India hikes car price by 3%

Following the path of major carmakers, the Indian subsidiary of French carmaker Renault has also announced to hike the prices of its entire portfolio up-to 3% from January, 2016.

Most popular and most search cars from Renault in India after the Duster, SUV, i.e., KWID will now be costlier by upto Rs 10,999.

Hiked price of KWID per variant (Ex- Showroom, New Delhi) are referred below:

1.      STD - Rs. 3000

2.      RXE - Rs. 7000

3.      RXE Radio (O) – Rs. 8500

4.      RXL – Rs. 8936

5.      RXT – Rs. 9999

6.      RXT Driver Airbag (O) – Rs. 10,999

Launch on September 24, 2015, small from car Renault has garnered more than 70,000 bookings since its launch with a waiting time of more than six months. Under the hood KWID is powered by 799cc three-cylinder petrol engine churning out the power of 53 bhp and a peak torque of 72 NM equipped with five speed manual gearbox.

It is also rumored that to keep up the boom developed by KWID in Indian Car Market, soon French carmaker will launch the hatchback in diesel trim and AMT transmission. The updated model from Renault is speculated to debut in India at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo.
