Renault KWID unveiled in Chennai
Renault KWID the first ever hatchback developed on CMF-A platform from French car maker Renault Motors was globally unveiled today in Chennai by its Indian alliance Renault India. It would be interested to learn that being a hatchback car it carries the looks of some luxurious SUV. The hatchback is speculated to be equipped with 800 cc three cylinder petrol engine and offered with five speed manual gearbox. It is speculated to be launched with price tag varying between Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh. According to reports the hatchback would be offered in petrol version which would be the best fuel efficient in segment and there would be no diesel version for this hatchback.
Talking about the other features that are offered in this new car from Renault it is said to be inspired from company’s global design pattern and is packed with 13 or 14 inch wheels. The front fascia of car gets black grille and headlamps giving an impression of SUV. It would not be wrong to say that with this car company has revealed its intention of offering a car that contemporary, bold and aggressive. This can be witnessed from the wheel arches and side body claddings.
Renault KWID is reported to be manufactured at Renault India’s manufacturing plant at Chennai and 98 percent of its parts would be assembled locally. It is anticipated to be launched in Indian car market sometimes during upcoming festive season in the moths from September to October and may be also exported to countries like, Russia, Brazil and China. In Indian car market it will compete against Hyundai Eon and Maruti Suzuki Alto 800.
