Skoda Citigo and Rapid launched!

Czech car maker Skoda has launched the small car Skoda Citigo and the popular car Skoda Rapid in Turkey. The launch has now opened new channels and avenues for the Citigo India launch. In Turkey, the car maker has chosen the 2012 Istanbul International Auto Show to showcase the new car. The Auto show starts from November 1. Among other model cars, Skoda Octavia is the most popular model and the car maker believes that being a small car, the Citigo will soon be the heartthrob of people of Turkey. It is reportedly known that Skoda is expanding its sales at the rate of over 30 percent and has also improved on the overall share in the market.

The eleven day long 2012 Istanbul International Auto Show will be the perfect place for Citigo and the Rapid sedan to get an instant exposure in the country. It is said that Turkey is one of the most prominent destination that the car maker has kept in focus in order to achieve the 2018 growth target. Skoda wishes to be one of the most important car brand in 2018 and for this it is not only expanding its presence in newer destinations, it is also expanding the products in the already explored markets.
India is another important destination for the car maker but the car maker is believed to be going to slow here. It is for the past ten months that the industry is hearing about the Citigo being in review but no concrete launch plans have been laid down. However, the Rapid sedan launch has been more than a success in India. Meanwhile, following the rise in input costs and other factors, Skoda has revoked all the discounts on its cars including the Skoda Fabia, Skoda Rapid or Skoda Laura in India.
