Skoda India strengthens its September sale up by nearly 13%
The Czech Republic based automobile manufacturer in the country; Skoda Auto India, has announced an increase in sales by 12.75%. In the current auto market where the major player like Maruti Suzuki has recorded a collapse with some or the other reasons, rise of a promising player like Skoda Auto in sales marks a good prospect ahead in the Indian auto sector.
The company had sold 1467 cars in September last year; and managed to secure sales of 1654 cars in the last month of the current year 2011, an up of nearly 13%. Being a part of esteemed Volkswagen Group; the company was proficient enough to draw decent number of sale with its products; that endure high quality, are aimed to provide class-apart luxury at a very-well balanced retail prices. With an intention to enhance the sales, the introduction of a lower priced version of hatchback Skoda Fabia took place, which will soon be followed by the launch of upcoming sedan Skoda Lauretta; which is projected to recreate the success of discontinued Skoda Octavia in India.
An above satisfactory development in sales is observed against the backdrop of worsening market situations, stated by Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Board Member for Marketing and Sales at Skoda Auto India. To attract car fanatics, the group has rolled out Skoda Laura RS, he added. Two more variants were launched in the hatchback segment Fabia, which gave the consumer an opportunity to upgrade with company fittings in the Plus variants. The group is dedicated to provide significant contribution to its car buyers and will prosper in coming future, as committed by him.
