Skoda launches Octavia in Indian car market
Finally after a long wait Skoda has launched its highly awaited and highly anticipated Skoda Octavia in Indian car market today with price tag of Rs. 13.95 lakh (ex-showroom price in Delhi). The top end variant has been launched with price tag of Rs. 19.45 lakh. Car was unveiled on August 9, in Mumbai and since it received hype from customers and industry experts and every car enthusiast started speculating about its features and performance. Octavia has been launched in both petrol and diesel variants with three engine options, two petrol and one diesel. Skoda has designed Octavia on its D platform.
The three engine options include 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine, 1.8 litre TSI petrol engine and 2.0 litre TDI Diesel engine. It is reported that Skoda Octavia will be the most fuel efficient cars in its segment which is integrated with various remarkable features which includes six speed manual gearbox, ABS, fatigue detection system, lane assistance system, nine airbags, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, daytime LED lights and many more. In simple words it can be said that Octavia has been designed to provide complete comfort and safe driving experience to users.
Apart from these features Skoda has also tried to make interiors of Octavia the best in its segment by integrating high defined audio system that is compatible with Bluetooth, parking sensors, touchscreen display, upholstery of superior quality leather etc. Skoda Octavia 2013 is expected to be tough contender to Renault Fluence, Elantra and Sonata from HMIL, Cruze from Chevrolet, and Corolla Altis from Toyota Motors.
