Skoda Lauretta to launch on 7th October

The automobile company Skoda is building its portfolio with a big line-up of new cars for the Indian market. Skoda's latest offering is sedan called Lauretta. The new sedan segment Lauretta will be launched on 7th October. Earlier, known as the Rapid, Lauretta is a mid-sized sedan from autmotive giant Skoda. It is believed that Skoda might change its name from Lauretta, before launching it in the Indian market on October 7.

Skoda Lauretta will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The 1.6L petrol engine will produce power of 105bhp. Whereas, the same 1.6L engine will produce 105bhp power. The engine is the same Volkswagen engine that powers Vento. Though, Lauretta is expected to be lower in price as compared to Volkswagen Vento. The look of the car also resembles Volkswagen Vento. However, the front portion has looks of Skoda Fabia.

All the things kept in mind, the pricing from Skoda will be the key factor in Lauretta's success. The speculations are that it will be priced around Rs. 8 Lacs.

Currently, Skoda has two sedans in the market- Skoda Laura and Skoda Superb, which are both premium segment sedans. Recently, Skoda launched its SUV-cum-car Yeti in the Indian market.

Skoda has a good brand value in Indian market, and its cars are really popular among rich and the upper middle class people. Skoda is known for its powerful and luxurious cars. It has become a much loved brand in the past few years. Skoda Octavia was a big hit, until the company discontinued it from the market, as it wanted to promote its other cars, and launch some new.

i think this's a concept model. I wish the original Lauretta looked like this. This's more sporty.
