Skoda on a launch spree– plans 8 new car launches this year
In India, Skoda Rapid is zooming ahead in sales after the car maker has started the Rs 8999/- EMI Scheme lately. Now, in order to set afire sales of its cars in India and worldwide, the car maker has decided to launch new Skoda cars so that the competition in various segments can be taken care of. In this year, Skoda is going to launch eight new cars and facelifts of its existing models. This is believed to make the prospects of this car maker bright and will contribute in realizing the dream of its parent car maker Volkswagen. The information about new car launches by Skoda in 2013 has been issued by the car maker on its official Facebook page.
This year, the Czech car maker has started its launch spree with the new Skoda Octavia which is known as Skoda Laura in India and now that the car maker has decided to launch 8 new cars it will be a hectic year for the car maker now on. Specially the special and facelift variants of the existing cars will be a delight to see. The series of launches will start off with the official launch of the Skoda Octavia at the Geneva Motor Show and there after the car maker will be launching Skoda Octavia vRS sedan which is the sports version of the same car. Though there is no official word on the series of launches that the car maker will be making this year but the industry highly anticipates some new cars and these include the new Skoda Superb initially.
Another car that is pending launch is the Skoda Yeti and there could be a long wheelbase version of the same as well. Meanwhile new cars could include launch of Skoda Citigo in India and other similar markets besides introduction of a few new region specific Rapid’s and other cars.
