Skoda Rapid becomes more affordable – car maker offers it at Rs 8999 EMI
Skoda cars in India are also feeling the heat despite of the continued cold wave in some parts of the country. Skoda car sales too have to bear the brunt of the slowdown in car sales in the country. Be it Skoda Fabia or Skoda Rapid all cars have witnessed growth but not to the extent that Skoda has wished for this year. In 2012 though the car maker has been able to post a growth of 13 percent that invited appreciation from critics as other car makers have not been able to post even single digit growth. Now in order to fire up sales this month onwards, the car maker has announced the Rs 8999 EMI scheme on Rapid sedan. This is another attempt by the car maker after it had earlier launched the Rs 9999 EMI scheme.
Alike the Rs 9999 EMI scheme, this Rs 8999 EMI Scheme is also on the base petrol variant of Rapid. Notably, this sedan has gained much response in India as it is made keeping in mind the exact needs of the Indian car buyers. But despite of this fact, the car did not get very high response and this is the reason why the car maker had to float new schemes to attract more buyers. Offered only by Skoda Finance, the new EMI scheme seems to gather much response in the coming months.
But the only thing about this scheme is that it is only on the base variant and so the EMI for the other variants will be more. Still, the EMI will be affordable. Meanwhile, the car maker is all set to launch the CNG model of Rapid and this will add some relief to those who wish to have the power and performance as well as frugality in hand. Offered in both diesel and petrol models, the Rapid has been designed for India and it is made in India but it is a pity that despite of this fact it is not able to sell as well as it is expected to do so.
